Michael’s study of the commodities markets began after college when a chance acquisition of a trading course piqued his interest in the asset class. The interest turned into a passion and several years of intense study and personal trading followed.
In 1996, Michael “turned pro” and became a professional commodities broker.
His early years in the industry taught him 2 things: 1. Most new commodities traders are “encouraged” to buy options, and… 2. Most commodity traders (but not all) lose money who try to trade on their own. After several years in the industry (see our story) Michael felt there was a connection between these two observations. This led to his study, experimentation and eventual championing of the Option Selling approach to trading.
In 1999, he met and joined Cordier at OptionSellers.com where they formed a mission to bring the institutional strategy of option selling to the individual investor. Today that mission and passion for implementing it burn stronger than ever
Michael resides in the Tampa area with his wife, two daughters & their various pets.
